Keynote Speaker Topic:

Turning Pain into Purpose: The Power of Post-Traumatic Growth After Tragedy

Description:
When life shatters, what comes next? In this powerful and inspiring keynote, AnneMoss Rogers explores how the darkest moment can give rise to unexpected strength, clarity, and purpose – and how that growth is never automatic.

Drawing from the personal tragedy of losing her son to suicide and grounded in the science of post-traumatic growth, she shares how people can intentionally transform grief, trauma, and adversity into resilience, ultimately weaving it into the tapestry of one’s life. Far from a story of despair, AnneMoss centers her message on the human capacity to grow through what we go through, with vulnerability, intention, and hope.

Breakout:

Effective Suicide Safety Planning Workshop for Youth & Adults

AnneMoss Rogers opens by sharing what she wishes she’d known when her son was in therapy, how to use a “coping card,” and how clinicians can support themselves and each other.

Dr. Kimberly O’Brien, a leading clinician and researcher, will equip clinicians with practical tools for effective suicide safety planning with at-risk youth and adults, provide actionable strategies to help clients communicate suicidal thoughts, and introduce an evidence-based safety planning model for youth and parents developed by her team.
