Description: After searching for help for her once joyful son and rap artist Charles, including wilderness therapy and therapeutic boarding school, AnneMoss Rogers lost her son to depression, addiction, and suicide in 2015. Through her lived experience, her time as ED of a youth mental health nonprofit, and years of work as a suicide education trainer, she offers clinicians a practical, rare and unfiltered perspective on suicide risk and prevention. This presentation explores the mental health conditions and underlying risk factors that can trigger suicidal thoughts, dispels myths about suicide, and equips professionals with practical strategies to identify risk, respond effectively, and support families.
