“I wish everyone would relax a little. Life ain’t a board meeting.”
– From the rap song,” Desire,” by Charles Aubrey Rogers
Mental health speaker, Anne-Moss Rogers helps businesses create connection and belonging, the foundation of a thriving workplace mental health culture.
Mental health in the workplace has become a critical topic and more workplaces and corporations have recognized that the foundation of retention, productivity, performance, and profitability is emotionally healthy personnel and a company culture that promotes it.
More progressive and profitable companies are focusing on the mission, “In order to achieve, you have to put wellness first.” And mental health speakers for the workplace can help companies create that foundation of wellness, get butts in seats and ears listening to carve out that opportunity for internal employees to promote their in-house resources.
This upstream commitment to workplace wellness is the foundation of a prevention culture that emphasizes connection and belonging. Part of this initiative is building resilience and defining self-care strategies so employees have the tools and resources to manage anxiety, adversity, change, and future leadership positions.
Crisis response always costs more and uses up more resources and time. Any effort to avoid that is a plus for any company HR team, DEI, or safety leader.
Emotionally healthy employees perform better
When you invest in your most valuable asset–human beings and offer them the tools to manage difficult feelings and situations in a healthy and productive way, you are building a culture of workplace wellness and retention. So what are the benefits of hiring a mental health speaker for the workplace?
Hiring a mental health speaker for the workplace helps employees and leaders:

Thank you for your focus on employers and places of employment. Most people spend the biggest portion of their time working, with work colleagues and those cultures or environments are critical. Not only does investing in the mental health and well being of employees result in better outcomes and the bottom line but have the ability to create healthier families, relationships, and communities. I would love know more about integrating your work into the workplace.
I love that you said this: “Not only does investing in the mental health and well-being of employees result in better outcomes and the bottom line but have the ability to create healthier families, relationships, and communities.”
That is the key and the reason I want to get into more companies and fortunately, that is happening in 2023! And companies are now looking to book for both mental health month (May) and suicide prevention month (September). So that could be a place to start although I am in companies year-round now.
So I don’t know what your role is but I’ve had employee champions get me in, usually through the HR or Safety departments of workplaces. ERG groups (Employee Resource Groups) have also hired me to be a speaker. And often two groups will combine to bring me in such as an LGBTQ ERG and a professional women’s ERG. A lot of big companies have those. Smaller companies just bring me in to speak to their group. So it depends.
My presentations include helping oneself and a loved one. I get a lot of parents there asking about their kids and then young adults struggling with the overwhelm of real life which is really tough these days. Here are the pdfs.
