WarmLines by State, For those who are stressed or lonely and need to talk and feel heard and understood. Peer run. This is for all citizens including veterans.

CopLine for USA (Law Enforcement Only), 1-800-267-5463 (1-800-COPLINE). Provides active listening through a hotline by maintaining complete confidentiality as well as anonymity if the caller chooses. Phone calls are answered by trained retired officers to engage with callers on the daily stressors that officers and their family members experience.

Front Line Rehab A Program for First Responders, 1-866-676-7500 • All Calls Confidential. Supports the therapeutic process of First Responders, but of their families and fellow Responders as well.

National Volunteer Fire Council Also known as Share The Load. A program run by the National Volunteer Fire Council. They have a helpline, and text-based help service, and have also collected a list of many good resources for people looking for help and support.

Fire/EMS Helpline- 1-888-275-6832 

Safe Call Now, 1-206-459-3020, a 24/7 helpline staffed by first responders for first responders and their family members. They can assist with treatment options for responders who are suffering from mental health, substance abuse, and other personal issues.

DOD Sexual Assault Resources

The Veteran Mentor Project, The Veteran Mentor Project is a prevention and early intervention program designed to help veterans* and first responders adjust to life after service. This can mean support in establishing a healthy routine, dealing with mental health issues or diagnosis, building new communities, or finding a career. Having the support of a mentor, in a non-clinical setting, and an organization can help reduce the risk of suicide, reduce risky substance abuse, and ensure that we have fewer veterans slipping through the cracks between the mental health agencies and VA systems of care. *The term “veteran” will be used to refer to military & first responders.

Through farming internships, therapeutic horticulture, sustainable gardening, animal-assisted therapy and Nature, VHF programs are designed to benefit participants in meaningful and lasting ways. Their mission is to promote mind/body well-being, mental and emotional balance, self-care skills, life skills, career opportunities, stress reduction, recovery from PTSD, and suicide prevention.

Mighty Oaks, Programs take place all across America on Military Bases, at their Outposts, and on rural ranch lodges. Provides peer-to-peer resiliency and recovery programs that serve as the catalyst to assist USA Warriors dealing with challenges related to the struggles of daily military life, combat deployments, and the symptoms of post-traumatic stress (PTS) offered at no cost to our Nation’s Warriors, including travel at beautiful ranches across the US.

Mission 22, Provides support to Veterans and their families when they need it most: right now. Through a comprehensive approach of outreach, events, and programs, that promote long-term wellness and sustainable growth.

Wild Ops, Trips are open to U.S. combat veterans of all eras who have sustained an injury in the performance of combat operations. Each program has a maximum of 10 combat-wounded U.S. veterans. Programs are designed to be in “wild“ settings with three levels of impact (Low, Medium and Extreme). Programs run a minimum of 5 days in length and a maximum of 20.

Healing the Hero For Veterans and First Responders. HTH focuses on healing PTSD, anxiety, and depression because we are seeing this every day with veterans, active military, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Gold Star Families, and more.  They have seen these results for over 6 years now with alternative holistic non-clinical interventions. Online groups are available.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for PTSD is an effective treatment: It helps people process the trauma while focusing on a back-and-forth movement or sound
