Below is an example of an online mental health training series for teachers, school counselors, school nurses, and other school health and mental health professionals.
The series in the flyer below was presented online for the Nebraska Department of Education. These topics are related to grief after suicide also known as grief recovery, the link between addiction and suicide, and then suicide prevention for elementary school students because young children do show signs of risk, and early intervention works.
My work as President of the board and then Executive Director of a youth mental health organization for over 10 years involved cases where I worked with area school mental health professionals and community clinicians to see that young children got the mental health support they needed early.
This series for Nebraska included CEs and all online mental training from Mental Health Awareness Education includes a wealth of resources including ideas other educators have implemented, scripts, handouts, activities, examples, case studies, and stories. Stories help the learning stick and resources help people put the training into action in their school communities.
