I was so thrilled to be asked as the mental health keynote speaker at UNC Out of the Darkness Campus walk this weekend in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I am originally from the state and still have family there who joined us on this walk. And of course, this is the place from which I graduated.
NC State students and faculty are just thirty minutes away and they were also invited to join the walk and three of the School of Engineering faculty I work with at NC State are in one of the pictures above (the one with three women).
There were people there who were suicide loss survivors, those with lived experience and people who were there to support the cause. It was beautiful weather!
