AnneMoss will be speaking briefly on “Secondary Losses.” “Secondary” means that these losses come as a result of the death or trauma, not that they are any less impactful or less difficult.
They include financial losses, loss of identity, loss of the ability to concentrate, loss of friends and loved ones (support system), and the loss of the future one had envisioned. It can also involve the loss of faith, dreams, or even one’s health. Examples of secondary losses are here in this pdf
